Embracing and combining the strengths of the traditional school and the homeschool, Joseph of Cupertino Classical Academy’s cooperative hybrid model is the ideal setting for families desiring flexibility and parental involvement, while also maintaining a focus on rigorous academics, strong Catholic faith formation, and community. Our educational approach develops capable and independent students, while strengthening family bonds.

Professional teachers instruct students in their areas of expertise and provide assignments for both school and home. Students attend classes at the Academy each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. On Wednesday and Friday, parents continue coursework instruction and monitor their students’ progress at home. The family works together to facilitate a learning environment in the home, and teachers guide and monitor the progress through the Academy’s classical curriculum in their own areas of expertise.

“The primary goal in the education of children is to teach, and give the example of a virtuous life.” – St. John Chrysostom
